We bought a 25LBS bag of onions for $3. Working with onions today, lots and lots onions. This is about 25CUPS of sliced onionsThis recipe I used 12CUPS sliced onions. My Dutch oven is almost full. 2TBSP vegetable oil 2TBSP brown sugar ( I use 100% cane brown sugar) 1TBSP balsamic vinegar 1TSP salt & 1/2TSP pepper Pour everything in. I cook this on the stove on a low-med heat uncovered, should be steaming. Stirring frequently. And adding water when needed. This can be done in your Crockpot but I much prefer them done on stove. Each time bottom of pan starts to get some color add some water, to remove bits and stir.
Each hour, it will become darker and darker6hours later, youll turn 12cups raw onions, into 6cups of amazingness! I freeze this in 3/4CUP-1CUP portions. I use these in a variety of different recipes! Our is PC brand but this is just the same

Get a big enough plate to cover top of cast and flip cornbread out on-top plate. Should slide right out. My family loves cornbread. Will be having some chili with this. Our everyday Lodge user, doesn’t leave our stove!
We love to dehydrate. Ive only owned one for about 3 years, it’s ran nearly everyday since we purchased it! We dehydrate just about everything there almost no waste in this family. Sometimes it’s fun, doing new things like this recipe. Wow, were these enjoyed. My dehydrator has been my funniest kitchen tool yet. What do we got here? About 2 banana in each container. Bananas cut in half then those pieces thinly sliced. Placed 2 whole sliced bananas in each container. One we pour over a Pina Colada Mix and the Other a Red Velvet Syrup. Soak for atleast 3-6hours. I used Dehydrating sheets as syrups were a tad sticky. When removing bananas from container try and remove as much excess syrup as possible.Dehydrate at 145F about 8-10hours, I flip half way threwDehydrators will vary in time. Take trays out, let sit for 10-15minutes. Peel from dehydrating sheet. They should be pretty crunchy and not sticky anymore! Just like everything we Dehydrate they didnt last long!Love our dehydrator. It’s half the price to the leading brands. But works just as great!
Oh bouy! What can I say about dehydrated marshmallows!! These things are so loved by all. I can’t make enough of them and keep up with orders. Everyone wants some. We used to ship different flavors of marshmallows in from the United States. It’s actual kind hard to keep up with Calgarians dehydrating needs LOLDoesn’t matter which brand, which flavor. Dehydrated those suckers just melt in your mouth! Doesn’t that sound good? Nope no sticking to the teeth here! They know where the good stuff is ❤️. As you see, she isn’t reaching for the squash down there hehehe
I like to dehydrate this on a higher heat so they fluff up a tad and get a little bigger. Dehydrate 145F , for 15-20hours. Yes they take a bit. Take out, let cool. I sure hope you like them as much as we do!Love our dehydrator! It’s half the price to leading brands but works just as good!
